Disney don’t usually…DO well with the Internet, when they try to do what everyone else does.
Go.com was an early casualty of the Dot-Com bust, and they recently busted one or two other mobile-game companies they tried to acquire.
Twitter’s too absorbed into our modern society for even Disney to kill it off by re-branding it, but you never know…
This could be a good marriage. Go.Com died because like most of the ,coms then it was badly run. Twitter’s issue is revenue from advertising. If Disney were to acquire Twitter and keep a hands off everything but fixing the revenue issue it could work for both. I agree with one of the above posters about Disney’s track record on companies it bought so far. Even today I am assuming that Disney’s web page is being run by 3rd party contractors because of the incredible lag from their servers and outright going down in recent months.

No one will want to use Twitter any more if Disney buys it. Don’t do it!
