    This movie has 3 knocks against it. Women, black background, and chess. How to combine them to make them interesting is the issue. Chess itself is the major problem. I’m a beginner player and haven’t touched it for decades, yet you expect the audience to know advanced strategies when I’m still processing basic moves. Just isn’t going to happen. I expect a human interest story, but I think it goes in the direction of black women and look at this novelty or don’t.
