I think there’s an error in the Original Screenplay category for the Compton entry.
When a movie gets Original Screenplay but not Picture, that’s a condescending pat on the head that “There, there, you’re still ORIGINAL, we just don’t want you in Picture.”
So why did Inside Out lose its Best Picture “lock” that every single moviegoer and critic knew it had the minute they left the theater last June?
Think it has to do with all the hoo-hah over the Globes not nominating it because of their Animated rules, and gullible industry folks saying “Well, the Globes say so, so that’s that!”
We say it every year, and now we’re shouting it: KILL THE GOLDEN GLOBES.
