The Christmas holiday has countless traditions, which heighten the spirit of the season. Decorating Christmas trees with memorable ornaments, lining rooftops with twinkling miniature lights and hanging stockings with the hope for St. Nicholas to stop by and fill them up with trinkets and toys. So with all the warm and fuzzy feelings floating through the air, Epcot brings a nightly spectacle to momentarily replace the warm and fuzzy with eye opening wonder.
Each year, the park hosts a “holiday tag” immediately following its Illuminations: Reflections of Earth firework display. The show is small and quaint, while not packing the punch of Holiday Wishes across property at the Magic Kingdom, it’s an enjoyable and moving performance that lasts around 3 to 4 minutes. The telling of this firework tale takes place along the shores of World Showcase, showing guests the meaning of Christmas from all points around. Each country found inside the borders of Epcot have their moment to shine, while inspiring peace on earth and wishing good will to all mankind. You’ll hear verses in native tongue, while the corresponding countries light up as they do in the traditional Illuminations show, yet its the finale that leaves you breathless.
The show is presented nightly though the holiday season, and as you exit, be sure to take a look on the backside of Spaceship Earth. Holiday greetings are massively displayed in the languages of the World Showcase countries.
