  1. I just saw The Good Dinosaur with my family at an advanced screening tonight and I absolutely agree with every word of your review.

It completely lacked any identity or imagination of Pixar’s high standards.

I also agree that there were some disturbing visuals that I really didn’t think were appropriate for my 5 and 4 year old kids.

    This is Pixar’s worse movie.

Againt Cars 2 or Monsters U?

Monsters U was a darn good movie–Just that it was an (ick!) SEQUEL that just happened to show up while we were all throwing our big tantrum at them for Cars 2 “breaking the Oscar string”. Oh, and Planes 2 was a good fun surprise, just before you trot that one out on default, too.

Cars 2 may have had too much Mater, and is just as 50-50 schizoid between two different plot ideas as TGD is, but at least there was a lot less nightmare fodder in Finn and Holly’s world, and had characters who weren’t complete wimps. Of Cars 2 and TGD, I know which one I had a lot more fun watching.

I saw this last night with my other half, were 22.. It took me 28 minutes to start crying and from that point I probably cried through most of the film!
I thought it was cute! Don’t understand any parts that were a bit iffy for younger ones though. All seemed fine to me having the brain of a 5 year old! We have to remember how innocent they see things in comparison to adults making things look disturbing when they’re not..
I’d rate it above, cars, the imcredibles and maybe even a few of the other Pixars that I just can’t get that into.
