Eh, seems like Universal is trying to copy the popularity of The Smiler at Alton Towers with a similar use of social media and characters to further the story. Smart decision, but a bit dodgy for my taste
Universal has been doing this for many years, on and off, in a variety of ways, even before social media existed. They’ve won awards for it.

I just meant when it came to having “Real” profiles of characters on social media. Forgive me if I’m wrong but I don’t think Universal has done the facebook/twitter character updates before this year. It’s just shows how Theme Parks have evolved to meet pop culture demands.
There have been Facebook profiles for characters associated with Legendary Truth in the past.
Hmm Blair Witch?
