Im torn on what I feel about this.

2011 – Cars 2 started off feeling like an amazing globe-trotting spy adventure story but then devolved into a slapstick One-stooges story.

2012 – Brave started off feeling like a Legend of Zelda sized epic journey through the wilderness but then turned out to be a small story of slapstick

2013 – Monsters Inc looks to be a slapstick buddy comedy but the wackiness actually fits their characters. But the problem is that it is preceded with two Pixar movies that already traded story for slapstick.

Pixar desperately needs an emotionally gripping tale to prove they haven’t lost their edge but Monsters Inc seems like it will be a “paint-by-numbers” buddy movie. Mike and Sully dislike each other. Mike and Sully encounter something that forces them together. Mike and Sully become best friends and Randy Newman makes us choke up.

A few years ago Jim Hill spoke of the original Monsters Inc 2 script he read when it was planned to be a sequel. The basic plot was that Mike and Sully maintained their bond with Boo but adults don’t see Monsters and as she grew up then she no longer saw them. They get stuck in the human world and need to somehow make Boo believe or something. The script was scrapped (probably because it felt too much like Toy Story 3) but that’s exactly the kind of emotional story that Pixar needs to pull off again. Fun classic characters. Wild Adventure. Lots of heart. No fart jokes.

Sully’s face when he’s doing the Travolta dance cracks me UP!

They are very convincing and will certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are too short
forr starters. Could you please lengthen them a bit from
