    I don’t understand how they are able to keep in time with the music and the colors.

    Do they pick up a radio signal or something?

    It would be great if you could breakdown the technology on this for people like me who have a hard time understanding it.

      I asked Disneyland but haven’t received an answer yet. I’m guessing they are RFID-based with transmitters/repeaters throughout the areas that trigger different patterns, colors, and effects.

    I heard they have a small RFID tag that picks up on signals emitted from repeaters placed around the park. I don’t know if thats true or not, but I do know one thing for sure- these are awesome!!

    I think the technology is similar to the glow bands they used at that Coldplay concert. Go to xylobands.com They’re radio-controlled by a transmitters hooked up to a computer.
