Disneyland sets June 3 opening date for The Little Mermaid, Star Tours 2 and May 27 for Mickey’s Soundsational Parade

A couple shares a magical, storybook moment in a rowboat on the glimmering swamp, surrounded by playful animals in an animated scene inspired by the vibrant enchantment of Disney’s The Little Mermaid attraction.

After months of speculation, Disneyland today finally revealed the opening dates set for The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure as well as Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and the premiere of Mickey’s Soundsational Parade at Disneyland Park.

Mickey’s Soundsational Parade will premiere first on May 27, 2011 – Memorial Day Weekend. The grand opening date for The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Adventure and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is June 3, 2011.

With the announcement, Disney today released a first-look at the new Ursula Audio-Animatronic figure that will be featured in first-ever The Little Mermaid dark ride:

Inside a high-tech attraction space, two Imagineers engage at computer consoles while Disney’s iconic villain Ursula from The Little Mermaid towers behind them in dramatic fashion—capturing the immersive magic and behind-the-scenes excitement found in experiences like Disneyland’s Star Tours 2.

A video previewing Mickey’s Soundsational Parade was also released:

Star Tours will first reopen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida on May 20, the same day Star Wars Weekends 2011 launches.
