Anyone disappointed (as I was) that Scrooge McDuck was not hosting meet-and-greets at the Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year is now in luck.
The rich resident of Duckburg is appearing daily at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort during this busy Christmas week alongside Daisy Duck. Upon hearing the news of the pair’s appearance, I headed straight over to the hotel to spend some time with them:
Daisy’s an appropriate companion for Scrooge, as she portrays the character of Isabelle in “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” with McDuck playing (who else?) Ebenezer Scrooge.
Unlike when Scrooge appears inside the Magic Kingdom, there is no charge to get your photo here. Parking at the Contemporary Resort is free and there is no cost to meet and take a picture with the characters. You can find them on the backside of the 4th floor of the hotel from roughly 3pm – 9pm each day this week leading up to Christmas. There was only a short line of around 10 people when I arrived today a little after 5pm.
