Credit: Inside the MagicJames Bond has dominated the news lately, with speculation about who will suit up as 007 in Amazon MGM’s upcoming reboot heating up in recent weeks.
The film, commonly referred to as James Bond 26, is being directed by Denis Villeneuve (the Dune films), with Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: Brand New Day) and David Heyman (Harry Potter) producing. The film’s writer, Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders), recently hinted that an actor may have already been cast; however, the studio has yet to announce who has landed the iconic role.

Meanwhile, Bond has also been dominating many corners of entertainment away from the big screen.
Earlier this year, IO Interactive released 007 First Light (2026), the third-person action-adventure video game starring Patrick Gibson (Dexter: Original Sin) as a younger James Bond.
The literary side of the franchise has also been quietly expanding with novels such as Kim Sherwood’s Hurricane Room, the third installment in her Double O trilogy.
More 007 adventures are on the horizon, too, with Charlie Higson’s first adult Bond novel King Zero arriving in September, Vaseem Khan’s The Man with the Golden Compass, the second Q Mysteries novel, scheduled for October, and M. W. Craven’s James Bond and the Secret Agent Academy, a new middle-grade series starring 007 as a mentor, coming in April 2027.
There’s also the upcoming full-cast audio drama adaptation of Charlie Higson’s first Young Bond novel, SilverFin, which will be told across 16 half-hour episodes, split into two box sets for roughly eight hours of drama. Young Bond: SilverFin Part 1 will be released in October.
But there’s still even more 007 to come.
Titan Comics is set to release Ian Fleming’s James Bond Signature Comic Strip Collection Vol. 1, a new hardcover collecting the first seven full-length 007 newspaper comic-strip adventures.
It was announced earlier this year, with the official Ian Fleming Publications X account writing:
“We are excited to announce that Ian Fleming’s James Bond Signature Comic Strip Collection will hit shelves on September 8, 2026.
@ComicsTitan‘s release features the first seven full-length James Bond newspaper comic-strip adventures based on Fleming’s original stories, which inspired the 007 cinematic universe. The volume also includes a unique and extensive gallery of John McLusky’s original artwork selected by his family. A must-have for fans of James Bond, the collection mixes incredible gadgets, thrilling car chases, beautiful women, hard-hitting action and the occasional vodka martini, shaken not stirred.”

While the statement states the release date of September 8, it should be noted that Ian Fleming’s James Bond Signature Comic Strip Collection Vol. 1 is now scheduled for release on February 23, 2027.
These stories date back to the earliest years of Bond’s comic history, starting with Casino Royale and continuing through Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Diamonds Are Forever, From Russia, with Love, Dr. No, and Goldfinger. The strips originally ran between July 1958 and May 1961.
The collection features work by writers Anthony Hern, Henry Gammidge, and Peter O’Donnell, alongside artwork from acclaimed Bond artist John McLusky. It will also include an extensive gallery of original McLusky artwork selected from his family’s archive.

Often imitated but never bettered, this new collection includes the first three years of James Bond newspaper strips from July 1958 till May 1961 and includes full-length stories of Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Diamonds are Forever, From Russia with Love, Dr. No and Goldfinger.”
So, while fans wait to find out which actor will follow in Daniel Craig’s footsteps on the big screen, there’s plenty of new Bond content to keep aficionados busy over the next few months.
The next actor will be the seventh to portray the character in the main James Bond films, following Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
There’s no release date for James Bond 26.
