Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is one of Disney’s oldest surviving attractions. The original debuted at Disneyland on June 23, 1963, introducing sophisticated Audio Animatronics to park guests. Walt had initially envisioned the space as a restaurant (a concept we will mourn forever), but the concept became a theater show to accommodate more people.
Magic Kingdom received its own version, Tropical Serenade, when the park opened on October 1, 1971. It controversially became The Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management) in 1998, starring Iago and Zazu, before Disney restored a version much closer to the original show in 2011.
An additional version can be found at Tokyo Disneyland, where the attraction incorporated Stitch in 2008 and was renamed The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents Aloha E Komo Mai!
But this version of the attraction is set to close in just two weeks.

The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents Aloha E Komo Mai! will close to all guests from September 24, 2026.
The attraction – described by Tokyo Disney Resort as “an enchanting show with Hawaiian birds [that] gets interrupted when that mischievous Stitch appears” – previously replaced The Enchanted Tiki Room: Now Playing Get The Fever!, which itself opened as a replacement for Tokyo Disneyland’s original Enchanted Tiki Room in 1999.
Fortunately, the attraction isn’t closing for good and is set to reopen on October 24, 2026. However, there are rumors that it’s facing a more permanent closure in the near future.
Concern stems from concept art released by Tokyo Disney Resort’s operator, the Oriental Land Company, in April 2025. Its 2035 strategy confirmed it was considering large-scale area redesigns, while the artwork appeared to show a dramatically rebuilt Adventureland with several longtime attractions, including the Tiki Room, missing.

Nothing in the plans is confirmed. However, the same artwork has fueled speculation that Jungle Cruise, Western River Railroad, and the long-closed Swiss Family Treehouse could also disappear, potentially making way for attractions inspired by Up (2009), The Incredibles (2004), and Moana (2016) as part of a wider Adventureland overhaul.
Adding further credence to the idea that Tokyo Disney Resort will eventually make sweeping changes to Adventureland is the fact that other changes shown in the concept art are already in action. Tokyo DisneySea is set to close Aquatopia in Port Discovery on September 14 to make space for an as-yet-unannounced replacement.
