I was just playing the songs from the tiki room last week.
That was the new thing of my generation in the 60’s.
I understand that the new generation of kids need something they can relate to. Just somehow keep the legends alive in some kind of Disney museum.
That’s a good idea! In general, not just the Tiki Room. The one in D’land has the agreement with Dole (Yes, the juices and pineapple rings, etc.) to not change the show as long as they’re the sponsers and it’s held up to my amazement and joy. It’s the ONLY original part of D’Land that hasn’t changed since Walt was alive! Cleaned, up graded sound and mechanics, yes, but not the show. We fans love that. Always a joy (Kids love it, too) and a great place to cool off, and/or sit for awhile. XOXO!!
