In the early afternoon hours on September 1, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” at an address on Restaurantosaurus Road, located near the former DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Typically, scanner reports at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs are logged at generalized addresses rather than the exact locations of the emergency response. Because this call was logged along Restaurantosaurus Road, it’s unclear whether the incident involved guests inside or nearby Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or Disney cast members in a backstage area near the former DinoLand U.S.A. Walt Disney Imagineers are currently transforming the shuttered land into Pueblo Esperanza, a new area inspired by the Tropical Americas.
Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statement regarding the battery at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on Tuesday afternoon.
