But there’s another part of the expansion that could easily get overlooked.
Disney has officially confirmed six brand-new restaurants are coming, ranging from quick-service spots to table-service dining and a poolside bar.
These aren’t simply minor additions, either. Several will open alongside Disney’s biggest projects of the year, bringing new menus and dining experiences into areas guests will be exploring for the first time.
And while Disney hasn’t revealed every detail just yet, we already have opening timelines and early information about what guests can expect.
Here’s what we know about each one.
Moonglade Brings Lakeside Dining
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opens July 1, 2027, and Moonglade will be one of its major dining experiences.
The table-service restaurant will feature seasonal dishes and locally sourced ingredients. Floor-to-ceiling windows will also provide views of the surrounding landscape, fitting the nature-inspired atmosphere planned throughout the resort.
Disney hasn’t released a complete menu or reservation information yet.

Harryhausen’s Enters Monstropolis
Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will introduce Harryhausen’s, inspired by the sushi restaurant seen in Monsters, Inc. (2001).
Disney has teased that its menu will be unlike anything else currently offered at Walt Disney World. Sushi will play a role, but Disney has confirmed non-sushi choices will also be available.
Harryhausen’s will debut during the initial opening phase of Monstropolis, although Disney hasn’t announced an exact date.

Bay Lake Provisions Adds Convenience
Lakeshore Lodge will also introduce Bay Lake Provisions, a marketplace-style quick-service restaurant.
Guests can stop here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Disney is designing the restaurant with an open kitchen and has teased woodland creatures inspired by familiar Disney classics throughout the space.

Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza Arrives
Monstropolis is getting another dining option with Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza.
The quick-service restaurant takes its name from Archie, the six-legged Scare Pig mascot from Monsters University (2013).
Disney hasn’t revealed a complete menu, but pizza will naturally be the focus. The location should offer guests a faster dining option while they explore the new land.

Paint Out Point Goes Poolside
Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will bring another dining option to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge.
The restaurant will sit near Lakeshore Lagoon, the zero-entry pool at the heart of The Wetlands recreation area.
Guests can grab shareable bites and specialty beverages without leaving the pool area for a full meal.

Animal Kingdom Gets a Giant Restaurant
Pueblo Esperanza at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will include a massive hacienda containing one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World.
Unlike several other locations on this list, Disney hasn’t announced an official name or menu yet. That leaves plenty to learn before the restaurant welcomes its first guests.

Disney’s Dining Lineup Is Growing
New attractions and lands may receive most of the attention heading into 2027, but Disney’s dining lineup is expanding right alongside them.
Lakeshore Lodge will introduce three restaurants when it opens July 1, giving resort guests several new options without having to travel elsewhere for a meal. Meanwhile, Walt Disney World’s new expansions will bring fresh dining experiences at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
Together, these restaurants will add everything from convenient counter-service meals and poolside bites to more traditional table-service dining.
Disney still has plenty left to reveal, including complete menus, prices, reservation details, and exact opening dates for several locations. We could also learn more about the theming and signature dishes planned for each restaurant as 2027 gets closer.
For now, six new restaurants are officially coming. Combined with the major attractions, lands, and resort additions already planned, Disney World guests will have much more than new rides to look forward to in 2027.
