Halloween Horror Nights is almost here, and for a select group of Universal Orlando Resort guests, one of the event’s biggest perks is about to become available.
Beginning next week, eligible Annual Passholders will be able to reserve a complimentary ticket to one night of Halloween Horror Nights 35, giving them a chance to experience one of Universal’s most popular events without purchasing separate admission. While the offer isn’t available to everyone, it remains one of the most valuable benefits included with Universal Orlando’s highest-tier Annual Pass.

With anticipation building ahead of the event’s August opening, many Passholders have been waiting for Universal to announce exactly when those complimentary reservations would become available. Now, that date has finally arrived.
Free Halloween Horror Nights Admission Opens Next Week
Universal Orlando has confirmed that Premier Annual Passholders will be able to reserve their free Halloween Horror Nights ticket beginning Tuesday, July 21, after 12:00 p.m.
Rather than automatically receiving admission, eligible guests must reserve the complimentary ticket in advance. Reservations are expected to be in high demand, especially for the event’s most popular nights later in the season.
One convenient feature of the reservation system is that a single Premier Passholder can make reservations for up to eight additional Premier Passholders at the same time. As long as the person making the reservation has the valid Pass ID numbers for everyone in the group, multiple complimentary tickets can be secured during one booking session.
That makes it much easier for families and groups of friends to coordinate their visit instead of having everyone log in separately.
Not Every Guest Qualifies
The announcement naturally sounds exciting—after all, who wouldn’t want a free ticket to Halloween Horror Nights?
The catch is that this benefit is reserved exclusively for Universal Orlando Premier Annual Passholders. Guests with Seasonal, Power, or Preferred Passes are not eligible for the complimentary admission benefit.

Premier Passes have long stood apart from Universal’s other Annual Pass options thanks to a collection of premium perks. Along with complimentary standard parking, Universal Express access after 4:00 p.m., discounts throughout the resort, and exclusive Passholder offerings, the free Halloween Horror Nights admission remains one of the biggest reasons many fans choose the top-tier pass.
Considering that Halloween Horror Nights tickets can become increasingly expensive as demand rises throughout the season, this benefit can represent substantial savings for guests who were already planning to attend.
Halloween Horror Nights Continues to Grow
Few seasonal events have expanded as dramatically over the past decade as Halloween Horror Nights.
What began as a regional Halloween event has transformed into one of the country’s premier haunted attractions, drawing visitors from across the United States and around the world.
Many fans now plan entire vacations around the event, often staying multiple nights so they can experience every haunted house, scare zone, live show, and specialty food offering.
Because of that popularity, Universal has steadily expanded the event while introducing new intellectual properties alongside original haunted house concepts.
This year’s lineup continues that tradition.
Haunted Houses Already Revealed
Universal has already announced an impressive collection of haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights 35, blending original creations with well-known entertainment franchises.

Among the houses confirmed so far are:
- Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control
- Sinners (2025)
- Stranger Things
- Hellraiser
- Cybergoria
- H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!
- INVASION: Alien Abduction
- MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals
The lineup once again mixes recognizable horror brands with original Universal stories, something longtime fans often appreciate. While licensed properties generate plenty of excitement, Universal’s original concepts have developed loyal followings of their own over the years.
It’s also likely that Universal still has additional announcements waiting in the wings before opening night.
More Than Haunted Houses
Halloween Horror Nights isn’t just about walking through haunted houses anymore.
Universal has also confirmed that Jack and Oddfellow will headline the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares scare zone, while another new scare zone, Sideshow of Decay, has already been announced. Additional scare zones are expected to be revealed as opening night approaches.
Guests will also be able to watch the newest edition of the event’s popular live performance, Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir(2026), which continues the franchise’s signature mix of choreography, visual effects, music, and pyrotechnics.
Between the haunted houses, roaming scare actors, themed food and beverages, exclusive merchandise, and nighttime entertainment, many visitors spend an entire evening without repeating the same experience twice.
Event Runs Through Halloween
Halloween Horror Nights 35 is scheduled to take place on select nights from August 28 through November 1 at Universal Studios Florida.
As always, attendance is expected to increase significantly once September turns into October, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays. Those dates often sell out well in advance, making early planning important for anyone hoping to visit.

That’s another reason next week’s reservation opening matters for Premier Passholders. Securing the complimentary ticket early could make the difference between visiting on a preferred night or settling for one with more limited availability.
A Valuable Perk Worth Remembering
Universal’s Premier Annual Pass has never been the least expensive option, but benefits like this continue to set it apart.
For horror fans who already planned to visit Halloween Horror Nights, receiving a complimentary ticket can offset a meaningful portion of the pass’s cost. Combined with Universal Express access after 4:00 p.m. throughout the year and the pass’s other included benefits, many frequent visitors view the annual Halloween Horror Nights admission as one of the strongest values Universal offers.
With reservations opening next week, eligible Premier Passholders should be ready to act quickly. Popular dates rarely stay available forever, and those hoping to take advantage of their complimentary admission will likely want to reserve as soon as bookings open on July 21.
