Credit: alextengco, FlickrOn Thursday, guests arrived in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park to find that three of its most popular Quick-Service dining locations were closed. However, Disneyland Resort‘s website makes no note of the closures.
Cars Land Closures at Disney California Adventure Park
On July 9, WDWNT reported that three of the five cone-shaped snack stands at the Cozy Cone Motel were closed for refurbishment. On social media, the outlet shared a photo of the Chili Cone Queso stand, with interior shutters down, concealing the restaurant’s interior:
In addition to Cozy Cone Motel Three (Chili Cone Queso), which closed on July 8, Cozy Cone Motel One (Churros) and Cozy Cone Motel Four (Frozen Cone-Coctions) are also closed effective July 9. They will remain closed through July 10.
Cozy Cone Motel Two (Ice Cream Cones) and Cozy Cone Motel Five (Popcone) closed earlier this week for refurbishment and reopened within a few days. Now, these two Cozy Cone Motel locations are serving their normal menus, as well as some items from the shuttered three cones, like the iconic Bacon Mac & Cheese Cone and the Chili Cone Queso.
Disney cast members reportedly informed WDWNT that the floors inside each Cozy Cone Motel location are being redone, which explains the short refurbishment windows. However, Disneyland Resort‘s official webpage for the Cozy Cone Motel does not mention the refurbishment, nor does it indicate that any of the five cones are closed.
Disneyland Resort has not commented publicly on the refurbishment, which is unusual. Although the Southern California Disney park rarely issues statements on maintenance projects that don’t significantly impact the guest experience, it usually issues temporary closure notices for locations that are forced to shut down due to construction work.
