On Tuesday, Walt Disney World Resort confirmed that the Grand Floridian Café at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will close for refurbishment in just over one month. Another Table-Service dining location at the Deluxe Disney Resort hotel is stepping up to offer brunch service during the shutdown.
Here’s what Central Florida Disney Park guests need to know.
Restaurant Closure at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

On June 9, Walt Disney World Resort updated the official webpage for the Grand Floridian Café to confirm that the Table-Service restaurant will close for refurbishment on July 20, 2026. The final day to dine at the Disney Resort hotel dining location is Sunday, July 19.
Grand Floridian Café is open for brunch from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The restaurant will operate during these hours until it closes for refurbishment on Monday, July 20.
Cítricos, which is typically only open for dinner, will temporarily serve brunch beginning Monday, July 20. The hours will be the same–7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.–but it’s unclear which menu items (if any) will carry over from the Grand Floridian Café.
Walt Disney World Resort guests can currently only make reservations for dinner at Cítricos, so brunch may be walk-up only. However, this has not been confirmed.

This refurbishment is part of a larger set of construction projects at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that began last year and are expected to continue through early 2027. Walt Disney World Resort recently opened The Perch, the first-of-its-kind golden birdcage-shaped lobby bar at the Victorian-style hotel.
Walt Disney World Resort has not announced a reopening date for the Grand Floridian Café. Guests staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa may see or hear construction activity during the day, but Disney typically avoids noisy activity during sleeping hours.
