Staying on property at Walt Disney World has always meant more than just a convenient place to sleep. Since the resort opened in 1971 with the Contemporary and the Polynesian, hotel guests have had access to a constellation of perks that guests staying off-site simply do not get. Transportation to the parks, early entry windows, dining advantages, and booking benefits have all been part of the value proposition for choosing a Disney resort hotel, and collectively they shape how a trip feels from the moment you arrive to the moment you check out.

For guests planning a 2027 Walt Disney World vacation, the full lineup of confirmed hotel perks is now taking shape, and there is meaningful new information alongside the returning benefits that most regular visitors will recognize. The headline addition is a brand new dining plan tier that has not existed before, and the pricing and structure are detailed enough to factor directly into trip budgeting.
Here is everything that is confirmed for resort hotel guests in 2027.
The New Disney Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan

The most significant new addition for 2027 is the Disney Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan, a new tier joining the two existing dining plan options. The structure of the plan is detailed and worth understanding fully before deciding whether to add it to a package.
Per night, the plan includes two table service entrees, dessert at lunch and dinner only, or a full buffet option. It also includes one quick service meal covering an entree or combo meal, one snack or non-alcoholic drink, and one resort refillable drink mug per person per package.
The beverage inclusions vary by age. Guests under 21 can choose one non-alcoholic beverage with each quick service and table service meal, with specialty beverage options for guests aged 10 and older including artisanal milkshakes, fresh smoothies, premium hot chocolates, or soda, coffee, or tea where offered. Guests 21 and older can choose either one non-alcoholic beverage including specialty options, or one single-serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine where offered within their meal entitlement.
Pricing for the new plan is $163.01 per adult per night for guests aged 10 and up, and $46.85 per child per night for guests aged 3 to 9.
Two additional dining-related offers continue alongside the new plan. The first provides 20 percent off dining for children aged 3 to 9 when a guest purchases a package that includes a dining plan for the family. The second is specifically for guests visiting from the United Kingdom and Ireland, offering a free Disney Dining Plan discount for those who book a full-price Walt Disney World package including hotel and park tickets for a minimum of five nights and a maximum of 21 nights at a participating resort. That package must be booked by November 4th, 2026, for most arrival dates between January 3rd and December 19th, 2027.
Water Park Perk Returns Again
Disney introduced a water park perk for resort hotel guests in 2025, giving each member of a party admission to one of Walt Disney World’s water parks on their check-in day throughout the year. The perk returned in 2026 from May 26th through September 8th, and is confirmed to be returning again in summer 2027. Specific dates for the 2027 window have not yet been announced, but the summer timing is consistent with how it has operated in previous years.
Transportation and Getting Around
Free transportation for resort hotel guests to and from the theme parks remains in place for 2027. The available methods include buses, watercraft, the Walt Disney World Monorail, and the Disney Skyliner gondola system. Guests planning to use the Skyliner should note that it will be closed for its annual refurbishment from January 24th through January 30th, 2027.
Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours
The 30-minute early entry benefit allows guests staying at Disney Resort hotels, and select other qualifying hotels, to enter each of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks 30 minutes before official park opening time, every day of their stay including check-in and check-out days. This benefit applies across all Disney resort hotel tiers.
Extended Evening Hours, which provide two additional hours in select parks after they close to the general public on select nights, remain available in 2027 but are exclusive to guests staying at Disney Deluxe tier resorts or Deluxe Villa resorts. Value and Moderate resort guests do not have access to this perk.
Lightning Lane and Dining Reservation Booking Windows
Resort hotel guests retain their earlier booking windows for both Lightning Lane and Advance Dining Reservations. For Lightning Lane, hotel guests can book seven days out compared to the three-day window for non-hotel guests. For Advance Dining Reservations, hotel guests can book 60 days out from their arrival date for their entire trip of up to 10 days, compared to the standard 60-day window calculated from each individual day for non-hotel guests.
The practical difference is substantial. A guest staying for a week can book all of their dining reservations at the 60-day mark rather than having to log in each day for a week to secure the restaurants they want.
Cool Kids’ Summer Status for 2027
Cool Kids’ Summer, which Disney has offered for two consecutive years at resort hotels, has not yet been confirmed for 2027. The 2026 version included scheduled character appearances with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, special libraries from Disney Publishing, pajama party story time events with Disney characters, poolside pool parties with games and music, and campfire gatherings with marshmallows and Disney entertainment. Whether these hotel-based programming events return in 2027 is still to be determined.
How This Affects a Disney Vacation

For guests comparing the cost of a Disney resort hotel against off-site alternatives, the 2027 perk package provides the clearest framework available for making that calculation. The 30-minute early entry benefit alone can meaningfully change what rides a family can access before the crowds build each morning. The Lightning Lane booking advantage gives hotel guests first access to a limited resource before it opens to the general public. The dining reservation window difference can be the deciding factor in whether a family secures the most in-demand restaurants on property.
The new Disney Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan at $163.01 per adult per night is the most straightforward addition to evaluate. Guests who plan to eat two table service meals per day should run the numbers against the cost of paying out of pocket and determine whether the plan makes sense for their specific dining priorities and party size.
The water park perk provides additional value on check-in day specifically, and for families who enjoy Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, it represents a day of water park access included without a separate ticket purchase.
The Extended Evening Hours distinction between Deluxe and non-Deluxe tiers is worth flagging for guests choosing between resort levels. If extended park access after closing is a priority for your trip, that benefit requires a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa booking. Value and Moderate resort guests get early entry but not the extended evenings.
If you are planning a 2027 Walt Disney World trip and weighing whether a resort hotel stay is worth the cost premium over off-site options, start by mapping out which perks your family would actually use and calculating the value of each one against the price difference. The early entry benefit, the Lightning Lane window, the dining reservation advantage, and the new dining plan are all quantifiable and the math is worth doing before you book. Our resort hotel guide breaks down each tier and which perks apply at which level so you can make the right call for your trip.
