Springtime may be just around the corner, but Walt Disney World is already preparing for one of its most beloved seasonal traditions: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This special event, which requires a separate ticket, takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom from August through October. If you’re a fan of the entertainment it offers, we have some exciting news heading into 2026.
Two of the most iconic shows in the event’s history will be returning this fall. Many visitors plan their fall trips around this event and the entertainment offerings. Today, we found a hint that a few beloved offerings will be coming back. And we have the audition notices to confirm it.
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular Is Returning This Halloween
Few things get Disney Halloween fans more excited than the Sanderson Sisters taking over Cinderella Castle, and that’s exactly what’s happening again in 2026. Disney Live Entertainment has posted audition notices for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, confirming that the fan-favorite stage show will return for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this fall.
The show, which has become a staple of the event, brings Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson back to the mortal world for a wickedly fun Halloween spectacular on the Magic Kingdom stage. With the Sanderson Sisters front and center and a roster of Disney villains joining in the chaos, it’s the kind of show that keeps guests coming back year after year.

Disney is currently seeking local Central Florida talent for the production. On the dance side, they’re looking for performers with strong jazz technique, comfort with multiple styles including commercial jazz and Fosse, and the ability to interact naturally with the Sanderson Sisters. Acting chops are a definite plus.
For the vocal auditions, Disney is accepting online submissions from female-presenting vocalists who are local to the Central Florida area. Each of the three sisters has a distinct personality that performers must capture. Winifred is the eldest, the most intelligent, and the most dramatic of the trio. Mary is warm and observant, constantly seeking Winifred’s approval while using her ability to sniff out children. Sarah is the youngest, playful and whimsical, relying on her siren-like singing to lure kids through the night.
Rehearsals are set to begin in mid-July, with full availability required through October 31, 2026. The show will be presented exclusively during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, held on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park from August through October.
Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade Is Also Coming Back
If the Hocus Pocus news wasn’t enough, Disney has also posted an audition notice for Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade, one of the most visually spectacular parades in all of Walt Disney World. The beloved Halloween parade winds through Magic Kingdom on party nights, featuring classic Disney characters dressed in their Halloween best, a gravedigger sequence that has become legendary among fans, and an energy that’s tough to match.

For the 2026 parade, Disney is seeking experienced Flag Corps performers local to the Orlando area. Specifically, they’re looking for Pirate Flag Corps performers standing between 5’5″ and 6’1″ who can execute a choreographed flag routine within the parade. Experience with flag corps, color guard, or flag spinning is required, along with the ability to learn choreography quickly and maintain strong athletic endurance throughout the parade route.
These are seasonal roles, with weekly availability required beginning in June 2026 and running through November 2026, giving the parade plenty of runway on both sides of the official party season.
What This Means for the 2026 Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has not yet announced official event dates for 2026, but these audition notices give us a good idea of what guests can expect. The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade are two of the most talked-about reasons fans purchase tickets to the event each year. Knowing both are confirmed for this fall is a big deal, especially for those who have been on the fence about attending.
The party typically sells out on its most popular nights, and entertainment announcements like this tend to drive early ticket purchases. If you’re planning to experience either of these this Halloween season, it’s worth keeping a close eye on when dates and tickets go on sale.

The only downside is that it could mean there won’t be any major changes to this year’s party. The event hasn’t changed significantly in years. It is about time the iconic Halloween party gets some new offerings while still keeping its nostalgic elements. In recent years, they have added more villains around the park, including at the entrance of the event. This has been a great addition, but fans would like to see Disney do more.
We’ll continue tracking all the latest Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party news as it develops, so check back for updates on event dates, ticket pricing, and everything else coming to Magic Kingdom this fall.
