Runners are sending out warning signals about potential ICE (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement) activity during the upcoming Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend.

Previous runDisney participants say the event, which runs from January 29 to February 1, is a possible target for an immigration crackdown. This comes just one week after the federal agency set up a new detainment facility near Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida.

Last summer, rumors swirled about ICE stationing officers near the Disneyland Resort parking garage and intercepting cast members on their way to work. TikTok videos warning Disney Park guests to stay away went so viral that Disney issued a statement in response, denying that ICE agents were present on their Anaheim property and confirming that resort operations were continuing as normal.

Nevertheless, ICE’s ongoing presence in Southern California and across the United States has affected theme park tourism. Countless guests, particularly international travelers, have canceled their vacations in protest or fear of the continued immigration crackdown. Tensions only grow after the tragic and contested ICE killings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

From January 29 to February 1, 2026, Disneyland Resort will host the annual Disneyland Half Marathon weekend. Thousands of runners will travel to the Southern California Disney parks to participate in three races: a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon.

The race courses are partially on Disney property and partially on public streets in Anaheim, where some runners anticipate ICE agents on patrol. One repeat runner, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @park_journey, reported spotting some undercover agents during prior races. They expressed concern that amid the increased ICE brutality and violence throughout the country, the agency would not try to hide this weekend:

A reminder to anybody running Disneyland half next weekend.

ICE has been present at the past few Disneyland races as we run though Anaheim, although they’ve tried to hide.

They will not be hiding this weekend. It’s up to each of us to let them know they aren’t welcome. #NoIce

Disneyland Resort hasn’t issued a statement about the potential for ICE activity during the upcoming Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend.
