It’s finally the New Year, and that means we’re officially in the year of a new Disney theme park: Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris Resort. The second European Disney park, currently known as Walt Disney Studios Park, will debut its new identity and several new attractions on March 29, 2026. Here’s what Disney Parks fans need to know.

Disney Adventure World

The new name for Walt Disney Studios Park, Disney Adventure World, transforms the theme park about movie-making into an immersive journey through existing cinematic universes. When the reimagined park debuts, more than 90% of its original offerings from its grand opening in 2002 will have been transformed or replaced, and its footprint will be doubled.

The redesigned entry plaza of Disney Adventure World, known as World Premiere Plaza, has already debuted. The open-air space is inspired by iconic live theatre venues, particularly those on Broadway and in the West End.

Adventure Way

The next land inside Disney Adventure World is Adventure Way: a central part of the park lined with attractions and 14 new Quick-Service and Table-Service dining locations inspired by Disney and Pixar stories. One of these restaurants is Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a Table-Service dining location offering Disney Princess character meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Restaurant guests can get autographs and take selfies with royal Disney characters, including Belle from Beauty and the Beast (1991), Jasmine from Aladdin (1992), Aurora from Sleeping Beauty (1959), Ariel from The Little Mermaid (1989), Merida from Brave (2012), and Mulan.

The lounge side is the very first bar inside either of the Disneyland Paris parks, inspired by trusty animal sidekicks like Heihei, Pascal, and Mushu. Both dining locations offer stunning views of Adventure Bay, making Regal View Restaurant & Lounge a perfect spot to see “Disney Cascade of Lights.”

Disney Cascade of Lights

Adventure Bay is the stage for Disneyland Paris Resort’s all-new nighttime spectacular, “Disney Cascade of Lights.” This 360-degree combination of fireworks, drone displays, water projection technology, and other special effects will also debut on March 29, 2026.

Disney has promised that the new nighttime show will test the boundaries of innovation, featuring the world’s first integration of a revolutionary aquatic drone system in tandem with next-generation aerial drones.

Disney Cascade of Lights will be accompanied by new arrangements of classic Disney music alongside an original anthem, “We Can Be Heroes.” It will feature characters, scenes, and stories from films like Zootopia (2016), Up (2009), Hercules (1997), Moana (2016), Mulan (1998), and hits from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Adventure Way will also be home to the lively Disney Marching Band (led by Minnie Mouse), rotating Disney character meet-and-greets (starting in November), and seasonal daytime entertainment, like Rapunzel and Flynn’s Musical Encounter (spring), Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band (summer), and Miguel’s Latin Festival (fall).

When Disney Adventure World opens in March, it will debut Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family-friendly attraction inspired by Tangled (2010). This spinner attraction, inspired by the iconic lantern scene, is exclusive to Disneyland Paris Resort and features all-new audio announcements recorded by Mandy Moore (the original voice of Rapunzel).

World of Frozen

Arguably, the most highly anticipated part of Disney Adventure World is the all-new World of Frozen land, contributing significantly to the increased footprint of the current Walt Disney Studios Park. This 7.5-acre, full-scale version of the Kingdom of Arendelle will bring Frozen (2013) fans into Elsa and Anna’s universe, including the 118-foot-tall, towering North Mountain, Arendelle Castle, Arendelle Bay, and Elsa’s Ice Palace.

This is the third Frozen land in the world, following the World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland and the Frozen Kingdom area in Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea.

The land will include several attractions, including an enhanced version of the Frozen Ever After attraction that already exists in EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort and at Hong Kong Disneyland. The family-friendly boat ride features cutting-edge, lifelike audio-animatronic figures that help retell the story of the beloved Disney Animation film.

It will also feature Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, a roller coaster inspired by Nordic design, and a 15-minute daytime show called “A Celebration in Arendelle.”

The entertainment offering will feature Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf celebrating Snowflower Day onboard three Viking longships on Arendelle Bay. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who wrote the music for Frozen, have composed two new songs exclusively for “A Celebration in Arendelle.”

Late last year, Walt Disney Imagineers shared the first-ever video of the advanced, walk-around audio-animatronic of Olaf, which will debut exclusively at Disneyland Paris Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland.

The Future of Disney Adventure World

Construction won’t stop when Disney Adventure World opens on March 29, 2026. Crews broke ground on a Lion King (1994)-inspired land at the theme park in 2025. The “Pride Lands” will feature a log flume ride with next-generation audio-animatronics, a full-scale Pride Rock, and other experiences inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios musical.

Over in Adventure Way, Walt Disney Imagineers are also developing a flying carousel inspired by Up (2009). Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t announced an opening date for this family-friendly, Pixar-inspired attraction.

Avatar (2009) Rumors

Planning documents from Disneyland Paris Resort also indicate that the European Disney destination may be planning an Avatar (2009)-inspired land for Disney Adventure World, like Pandora – The World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort, and the project that Disneyland Resort is currently developing for Disney California Adventure Park. However, this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
