A lot is happening inside Disney’s theme parks right now. From new rides and attractions to brand-new lands, guests have a lot to look forward to when it comes to Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Disney’s international theme parks are just as exciting to talk about, especially Disneyland Paris. The European resort is set to welcome a number of new experiences into its parks over the next few years. One of the most exciting projects of the bunch is World of Frozen, an immersive new land that brings the world of Arendelle to life.
World of Frozen opens in 2026, a year that marks a turning point for Disneyland Paris as a whole.
However, there’s one project that may have flown under the radar for travelers, but is just as important.

Last year, Disneyland Paris announced upgrades for its version of Tower of Terror. According to permits, a new covering will be constructed for the outdoor queue line for the attraction.
Over the last year, guests have seen minor changes take shape outside of the attraction. Another new permit was filed in September, detailing even more work planned for the thrill ride, including reduction of the roofed surface, the addition of a fixed parasol, and changes to the facades of the new queue covering.
Disneyland Paris’s version of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is reminiscent of the now-defunct version that used to be located inside Disney California Adventure in Disneyland, featuring a more yellow exterior with a dome on top. The experience inside was also very similar, with Disneyland’s version turning into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in 2017.
Disneyland Paris is made up of two theme parks. Disneyland Park, which shares the same name as the original Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, has a plethora of classic dark rides like Peter Pan’s Flight and Pirates of the Caribbean while also featuring some thrilling roller coasters.
Walt Disney Studios Park is home to several thrill rides of its own, with The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror being one of the park’s most popular. Walt Disney Studios will be renamed Disney Adventure World in 2026.
