Guests have several choices to make when planning a Disney vacation. From picking out which park to visit to choosing the right hotel, guests have a lot to decide when it comes to visiting both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

However, dining remains one of the definitive parts of a Disney vacation. The Disney parks are famous for the various cuisines guests can find around them, ranging from small fast-food joints to three-course sit-down meals.

Unfortunately, guests hoping to make some dining reservations today are out of luck, as Disney’s internal system is offline.

The Walt Disney World dining system is currently down, meaning guests are unable to book or change reservations. The system has reportedly been down since early Wednesday morning.

Guests using the My Disney Experience app are greeted with a note saying, “At this time, we cannot make or modify dining reservations online or over the phone. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

The dining reservation system for Disneyland Resort is also down. Guests can still make mobile orders at quick service locations, but actual sit-down meal reservations are unavailable.

Disney faced issues with its dining system earlier this year when The Beak and Barrel, a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar, opened at Magic Kingdom. This new bar is one of the most significant updates to the park’s Adventureland area in years, allowing guests to continue their own pirate storylines in a relaxing, cozy, and highly detailed new bar.

The Beak and Barrel offers tasty drinks and treats, as well as a new animatronic parrot named Rummy, who greets guests at the bar from time to time.

Guests are required to make a reservation in order to secure their spot at The Beak and Barrel, though Disney seems interested in scaling back these requirements. Earlier this year, Disneyland announced it would be dropping the reservation requirement from another popular themed bar, Oga’s Cantina.

Part of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Oga’s Cantina invites guests to live out their own Star Wars storylines in the comfort of a seedy and rustic bar, just like in the movies. Disney World’s version of Oga’s Cantina still requires guests to make reservations, but Disneyland no longer requires guests to make reservations before entering.
