Disneyland Resort recently made some unexpected changes to a long-standing Fantasyland attraction.
On September 16, 2025, WDWNT reported that the Fantasyland Theatre had officially debuted its updated look at Disneyland Park. Disney Park guests noted that the area looked “very clean and shiny” and smelled of new paint, indicating that work had been completed sometime in the last few weeks.

Crews repainted the cement outdoor floor leading to the Troubadour Tavern seating area, down to the bleachers, and behind the tech booth in a curved pattern of green, blue, and gray blocks. The flooring in front of the stage is now painted in a blue and lighter blue checkerboard pattern. The cement under the general bleacher seating area was also repainted with one standard beige color.
The wooden fencing around the Fantasyland Theatre is now deep brown, with a blue and yellow floral trim. The tech booth for Disney cast members also appears to have been repainted, but it doesn’t seem to have changed much.

The latest changes come months after an update in January, when Disneyland Resort installed a brand-new banner with a stars-and-vines pattern on the archway above the Fantasyland Theatre stage. After hosting the Pixar Pals Playtime Party over the summer, the Fantasyland Theatre is not currently offering any scheduled entertainment for Disneyland Park guests. The theater is expected to reopen in November for Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends, a limited-time offering for the Disneyland Holidays 2025 celebration. It’s unclear whether the recent renovations reflect plans for new future entertainment offerings at Disneyland Park.
