Change is afoot in Walt Disney World, though this has been the case for several years now. Over the last decade, fans have seen all kinds of changes take place at “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” ranging from little tweaks to full-on revamps of classic rides.
Many new attractions have also been added to the parks recently, the best examples being TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, two fan-favorite roller coasters.
However, change isn’t exclusive to Disney’s rides and attractions, as several sit-down restaurants and quick-service locations have either closed or scaled back in recent years. Dining plays a big role in a Disney World vacation, with the resort being home to dozens of incredible places to grab a small bite or a three-course meal.
Highlights of Disney World include Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Jungle Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Chefs de France at EPCOT.
Now, a wave of menu changes has hit a number of Disney World eateries, affecting some classic items.

Starting with the luxurious and expensive Cinderella’s Royale Table, diners will notice the bite-sized cheddar cheese and grapes have been removed. In their place comes a new, albeit very similar dish: bite-sized cheddar cheese and seasonal fruit.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Tiger Tail Chocolate Twist has been removed from Isle of Java. This pastry had become a hidden gem, but can no longer be found at this location.
Changes have also taken place outside the parks, with the menus of The BoardWalk Inn and Saratoga Springs both being updated slightly.
At The BoardWalk’s Leaping Horse Libations, guests will no longer find the Poolside Salad with Chicken.
Disney World consistently rotates its dining menus, ensuring that guests always have something new and exciting to try. But sometimes, classic items and dishes get removed, leaving a gap for fans.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort has changed quite a bit over the last few years. Not only has the hotel undergone significant room and amenity refurbishments, but it now also boasts a few new offerings.
Guests will now find The Cake Bake Shop, a higher-end location featuring both full meals and, of course, decadent cakes and desserts.
Several new restaurants are being developed for Walt Disney World as part of the resort’s upcoming expansion efforts. New eateries will be a part of Hollywood Studios’ upcoming new land, Monstropolis, inspired by Pixar’s Monsters Inc.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will also eventually feature new places to grab a bite to eat, with the park’s popular Restaurantosaurus set to close permanently on February 2, 2025.
