Fall isn’t just bringing pumpkins and costumes to Disney+. This year, it also kicks off a run of new Star Wars projects that stretch across animation, anime, and live action, with two films on the horizon to keep theaters in the mix.
The first arrival is LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, continuing last year’s multiverse-style storyline on September 19. Gaten Matarazzo, Ahmed Best, and Mark Hamill return as Sig, Darth Jar Jar, and Luke Skywalker, respectively, while Dan Stevens joins the galaxy as a new villain.

October follows with Star Wars: Visions Volume 3. The anime anthology has been one of the franchise’s most acclaimed experiments, and this third collection will mix brand-new shorts with sequels to fan-favorites “The Duel,” “The Village Bride,” and “The Ninth Jedi.”
Visions won’t stop there. Lucasfilm confirmed Star Wars: Visions Presents, an expansion that will adapt shorts into full-length series. The first out of the gate will be The Ninth Jedi, currently slated for 2026.

Live-action fans have a couple of big shows to watch for, too. Ahsoka Season 2 will continue the story left hanging at the end of Season 1, bringing Rosario Dawson’s beloved Jedi into another round of intergalactic struggles.
Meanwhile, animation returns to the darker corners of the saga in Maul – Shadow Lord, with Sam Witwer reprising his role of the former Sith in new stories set between The Clone Wars and Rebels.
The small screen isn’t the whole picture. The next Star Wars feature to hit theaters will be The Mandalorian & Grogu in May 2026, with Jon Favreau directing and Pedro Pascal leading the cast alongside newcomers Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White.
A year later, Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) director Shawn Levy will launch Star Wars: Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling in a story set five years after The Rise of Skywalker.
For the first time in years, both streaming and theaters have their own significant Star Wars milestones on the horizon.
