Details of the Incident

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, an unidentified man entered Paddlefish shortly after midnight, just over an hour after the restaurant had closed for the night. The suspect reportedly took cash before leaving the premises. Authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the incident, though it remains unclear whether anyone was inside the building at the time.

Officials have not released information about the amount of money stolen or how the individual gained access to the property. The investigation remains ongoing.

About Paddlefish

Paddlefish is one of the most recognizable dining spots at Disney Springs, thanks to its unique setting inside a permanently docked steamboat at The Landing. The restaurant gives guests the illusion of dining on the water while never actually leaving the dock.

The steamboat’s history stretches back decades. It originally opened in 1977 as the Empress Lilly, named in honor of Lillian Disney, Walt Disney’s wife. In 1996, the property transitioned into Fulton’s Crab House, a seafood restaurant that became a mainstay for more than 20 years. In 2017, the venue was reimagined and reopened as Paddlefish under the operation of Levy Restaurants.

Today, Paddlefish is known for its seafood offerings and rooftop deck overlooking the water, making it a popular dining destination for both tourists and locals.

What’s Next

Authorities are continuing their investigation and have not yet released any details on possible suspects. For now, Paddlefish remains open to guests, and business operations are continuing as normal.
