When you visit Walt Disney World Resort, you probably think about all of the memories you will make — the attractions you’ll ride, the delicious food you’ll indulge in, the characters you’ll meet, and the fun merchandise you’ll buy. And if you’re spending the holidays at the parks? That adds a whole new layer of magic to your Disney experience.

What you probably won’t anticipate is ending up in the hospital and needing to contact the police after something devastating happens.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened to one family at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The terrifying incident left at least one person pinned under a golf cart and another needing surgery.

A family poses with a person dressed as Daisy Duck at an outdoor location. Two young girls stand on either side of Daisy, making peace signs, while a woman stands to the left, smiling. A man is taking a photo of the group with his smartphone.

According to a Facebook post from Zin Santos, he and his party were staying at Fort Wilderness over Thanksgiving and using a golf cart to get around. He alleges that one evening, they were driving around the resort in a golf cart when a car approached. He claims that the driver turned off their lights, purposefully sped up, and hit his golf cart on purpose.

The car then drove off, leaving him and several family members injured and needing serious medical treatment, one is even in the intensive care unit. And now, he is asking for anyone’s help in identifying the person who hit him.

🚨 Your Help Is Needed: Deliberate Hit-and-Run (Car vs. Golf Cart)🚨

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude 🙏🏻 to everyone who stopped to help us during the terrifying hit-and-run incident last night (11/28 Thursday/Friday, around mdnight) at the 4-way stop sign near the entrance to the loops. A special thank you to the kind person who gave me a blanket for my cuts – your compassion brought comfort during such a traumatic moment.

This was not an accident. The driver approached aggressively, turned off thier lights, turned on high beams, and then struck our golf cart. The impact threw my family from the cart and left us with significant injuries.i was pinned under golf cart. One family member is scheduled for surgery to repair a fractured leg, while another isin the ICU under observation for a brain bleed. We are still waiting for updates on another family member’s condition, and my spouse and I are also severely beaten up from the incident.

The vehicle involved is believed to be a dark-colored car, possibly a Hyundai Genesis or Aston Martin, with undeniable visible damage.

If you have any information about this vehicle or the driver, please contact the authorities immediately. Your help is critical in bringing justice and closure to our family. Thank you.

Golf carts, while not seen too much around much of Walt Disney World Resort, are a staple at Fort Wilderness. Guests use them to get from their tents or RV’s to anywhere else at the Resort.

During holidays like Halloween and Christmas, guests will hop in their golf carts and drive around the different areas of Fort Wilderness, seeing how other guests decorated their lots. It is something a lot of people look forward to every year.

It is shocking to think that someone would intentionally hit a family on a golf cart, but the stress of a Disney vacation can bring out the worst in some people.

If you have any information on the incident at Fort Wilderness, we encourage you to reach out to Disney, the Orange County Police Department, or the Orlando Police Department. We hope Mr. Santos has a speedy recovery and that everyone in his family fully recovers.
