Matterhorn, Peter Pan’s Flight to receive new special effects for Disneyland 60th anniversary

Disneyland announced today that two classic attractions will be getting enhanced effects beginning this spring, in time for the park’s 60th anniversary celebration.

The Matterhorn Bobsleds will feature a new Yeti (aka Abominable Snowman) effect that from newly released concept art appears quite reminiscent of a certain effect on Walt Disney World’s Expedition Everest, but taken to a new level.

In Fantasyland, Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland will be receiving a similar queue treatment that Walt Disney World recently did, adding interactive elements and effects.
