Disneyland unveils Grizzly Peak Airfield artwork, transforming Condor Flats with new look

Guests stroll beneath twinkling lanterns along a wooded path at Grizzly Peak, heading toward the iconic lookout tower as the immersive theming of Grizzly Peak Airfield in Disney California Adventure invites adventure and stirs nostalgic memories of Condor Flats.

The former Condor Flats area of Disney California Adventure theme park is being transformed into Grizzly Peak Airfield and today Disneyland revealed artwork depicting how that change will look.

The whole area is being redesigned with new appearances for buildings and landscaping, including adding more shady trees.

First to open in Grizzly Peak Airfield will be Smokejumpers Grill on March 20, the former location of the Taste Pilots Grill. The menu will include an assortment of burgers and sandwiches, such as a Bacon Cheddar Burger, Grilled Chicken & Jack Sandwich and Chili Cheeseburger.

Smokejumpers Grill at Disney California Adventure, with guests strolling by under the shade of towering pine trees, recreating the adventurous Grizzly Peak Airfield vibe.

Guests stream into Smokejumpers Grill, a lively and inviting eatery with warm lighting, set within the industrial-themed hangar interior at Disneyland’s Grizzly Peak Airfield.

Like its counterpart in Florida, Soarin’ Over California is also receiving a visual update with new projections and screens.

Guests stroll past towering pine trees and the signature green Grizzly Peak Airfield hangar, surrounded by rustic wood architecture in Disney California Adventure’s immersive outdoors-themed land.
