Long rumored, Marvel today has announced their inclusion in the video game world of Disney Infinity via a video teaser.
No details were released, only a tagline: “Get ready to Assemble. The possibilities are…infinite.”
The video calls it Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition, showing Captain America’s shield flying through the game’s familiar Toy Box mode, high above Disney characters. There’s no doubt Marvel characters are on the way to the game soon. As the teasers states, “Bring on the super heroes.”
Disney Interactive declined to comment further at this time.
Rumors suggest Disney Infinity 2.0 will be available for next-gen systems Xbox One and Playstation 4 in addition to Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii U, though those details have not yet been confirmed or announced.
But the possibilities for collectible figurines to unlock characters within the game are seemingly endless with more than 4,000 characters available in Marvel’s library.
