Seasonal amusement parks live by the calendar. For months, the gates open, the lines form, and the coasters run. Then the season ends, and a place that felt endless goes quiet. That can catch guests off guard, especially when the rides they came for have already gone dark.

Cedar Point is in that stretch now. According to the report, the final days of its 2026 season are approaching, and several popular attractions are already unavailable. We’ve attributed every detail to the report, flagged where its lists overlap, and noted what it doesn’t say. Here’s what to know before heading to the park, plus a quirky police call involving a scare actor.

HalloWeekends continues at Cedar Point on select days through November 1, according to the report, which describes the final days of the 2026 season as approaching. Cedar Point has updated its attraction closure schedule for the remaining days of HalloWeekends.

Already Closed for the Season

Among the most notable absences are Gemini and Magnum XL-200, the report says. Both are listed as closed for the season, along with several other attractions:

  • Planet Snoopy
  • Ocean Motion
  • Sky Ride
  • Space Age
  • Thunder Canyon
  • WindSeeker

The report says coaster enthusiasts hoping for one last ride on Gemini or Magnum XL-200 “will have to wait until 2027.” The closure schedule itself lists them as closed for the season, and the information we have doesn’t say anything more about 2027 operations.

More Closures Through the Weekend

The report says the list changes as the operating calendar winds down. As of its writing, the Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad and Power Tower were scheduled to be closed.

This Friday brings additional closures, including Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Power Tower, and Rougarou. Power Tower is also listed as unavailable this Sunday.

Noon Openings, Friday Through Sunday

Some attractions are scheduled to open later in the day. Cedar Point’s published schedule identifies noon openings Friday through Sunday for Camp Snoopy, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gemini, Power Tower, Skyhawk, SlingShot, Rougarou, and Wave Swinger.

When the Lists Overlap

Notice something? Some attractions appear on more than one list. Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Power Tower, and Rougarou appear on both the Friday closure list and the noon-opening list, and Gemini appears among the noon openings even though it’s also listed as closed for the season.

The report itself says some attractions appear on both the closure and delayed-opening lists, so guests should verify the latest operating information before arriving. We can’t tell you which listing is correct, and we won’t guess.

Is It Worth the Trip?

The report says that, despite the closures, HalloWeekends still offers reasons to visit, particularly for guests who enjoy Halloween entertainment and seasonal atmosphere. For visitors whose main goal is riding roller coasters, it says the experience may be considerably different from the summer.

It also raises the question of value. Cedar Point’s ticket prices vary by date, the report says, and a reduced ride lineup doesn’t necessarily mean a cheaper visit. Those are the report’s observations, and the decision is a personal one.

What HalloWeekends Includes

According to the report, the event features family-friendly daytime activities and frightening nighttime entertainment, including scare zones, indoor haunted mazes, and special entertainment.

Daytime activities like trick-or-treat trails, hay mazes, kids’ costume contests, and the show Snoopy’s Tricks and Treats Adventure are included with regular admission. For access to indoor mazes and other nighttime experiences, guests must purchase add-ons like the Haunted Attractions Pass and The Conjuring: Beyond Fear Add-On.

A Police Call Involving Fake Blood

On October 25, according to a separate report, an off-duty law enforcement officer noticed a person “covered in blood” entering a vehicle at the 24-hour Love’s Travel Stop on U.S. Route 250 in Milan, Ohio, shortly after 10:00 p.m., and requested assistance from on-duty police.

The scanner report made its way to the Cedar Point fan community on Reddit because the officer gave an all-clear soon after. The person was determined to be a Cedar Point scare actor, still wearing fake blood from their costume. The report quotes the all-clear message: “Oops, my mistake. You have a good evening!”

The Scanner’s Last Word

It took less than two minutes for the officer to cancel the request, the report says, as the “subject covered in blood” was “determined to be Cedar Point haunted house employee after work.” The scanner report concluded: “No issues.”

In the Reddit comments, u/bengenj recalled a similar incident: “Had a buddy pulled over by Mason Police and they were confused because he was a werewolf and hadn’t completely removed his extra stuff.” We can’t verify that comment or where the stop took place.

Before You Go

If you’re planning a final visit this weekend, check Cedar Point’s official operating schedule for the day you’re going, since the report says its lists overlap and the lineup keeps changing. Think about which rides matter most to you, and whether the open attractions and HalloWeekends entertainment make the trip worthwhile.
