On October 25, a law enforcement officer made a frightening discovery at a travel stop in Milan, Ohio. The off-duty officer reported noticing a person “covered in blood” entering a vehicle at the 24-hour Love’s Travel Stop and requested assistance from on-duty police. The person was later confirmed to be an employee of the nearby theme park, Cedar Point.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, an off-duty officer pinged law enforcement in Milan, Ohio, regarding a person “covered in blood” entering a vehicle at the Love’s Travel Stop on U.S. Route 250.

The scanner report from the incident eventually made its way to the Cedar Point fan community on Reddit for one very specific reason: the officer gave an all-clear soon after the person was determined to be a scare actor from the Six Flags franchise theme park, still wearing fake blood from their costume.

It took less than two minutes for the off-duty officer to cancel their request for assistance as the “subject covered in blood” entering a vehicle at the Love’s Traffic Stop was “determined to be Cedar Point haunted house employee after work.”

“No issues,” the scanner report concluded.

In the Reddit comments, u/bengenj recalled a similar incident that occurred during HalloWeekends season at Cedar Point:

“Had a buddy pulled over by Mason Police and they were confused because he was a werewolf and hadn’t completely removed his extra stuff.”
