That happened to my mom and I. We were told over the phone we were getting a room closest to the food court at the CORNADO SPRINGS RESORT. That place was awful and the room was not worth the price . But they put us in the back when we requested to be up front because my mom has a handicap. Yet they did nothing to fix it until a lawyer was involved on our end. Disney is a dump

Anddddddd………How many times have they don’t amazing things for people without any recognition.

You cherry pick negative stories or find them, without any confirmation are actually true, and then discourage or create fear in others. DO BETTER

Have experienced both upgrade and downgrade.
The surprise upgrade was from moderate resort to deluxe and was not charged for the increased cost. (apparently moderate rooms at Caribbean were needed and b’c of the frequent visits we make was asked to change to deluxe, GF. Was magical)
The downgrade was a moderate resort change to another moderate. Was charged for the move to the lower moderate change and given a $50 additional credit. (renovations
seemed to be extended at Port Orleans so rooms were limited and got switched to Coronado). Typically if your not pushy or nasty, and show you understand things can go wrong, (holds true even outside Disney) the issue/problem, is handled nicely. Cast members who deal directly with guests are not always the ones making the difficult decisions.
