It is one thing to close the parks early for a Disney event: these are annual events & posted months earlier. I don’t think it is fair to close the parks for private events/company or people buying out. These dates are posted only days earlier – when people make plans months prior. Let them buy tickets and join the general public. Then Disney can just get additional CM’s to work. A win win for everyone.

This is absolutely wrong. Families pay thousands of dollars (sometimes money they don’t even have) to give their families a trip of a lifetime. This may be the only trip they vet take to Disney. Disney used to be all inclusive and this is far from it. Disney used to be affordable for everyone (but that’s a much different story)! If a company is rich enough to buy out an entire park, I think it’s safe to say the employees can afford to go themselves. I think this is wrong but then again, I don’t know if Disney is losing money or making money so I don’t want to speculate any further.

Since Walt’s death in the mid-60s, his dream has faded, if not died, for average Americas and tourists.

Walt’s Dream died when he died. No one knew how to build EPCOT 1966 and all corporations cut ties to EPCOT 1966. His brother Roy O did not know how to build EPCOT 1966, all he knew was to build and run hotels. Ron Miller knew how to cut corporations apart and sell them off which lead to his firing. Before there was Epcot Theme Park, Ron Miller sold the Disney name to Disneyland Tokyo. EPCOT 1966 was Walt’s Dream taking Disney Productions into space for asteroid mining.

Corporations which buyout Disney are also investors of Disney and the corporations have Disney investing in them. It is a win/win situation keeping Disney a Magical Destination.

It is pure profit on corporate nights. Reservation System can figure out which has the least amount of guests on a certain day.

If these families are spending money they might not have then maybe, just maybe they should prioritize their financial stability first before taking a WDW vacation.

The park hours are posted well in advance.
It’s usually for cast appreciation events 5hat they close parks early.

  4. Oh bad people are gonna listen and not go there and spend all the money there. It’s not worth it. If you only knew how they treat their employees you wouldn’t even go there. This is just about making money that’s all and making your money that you make all you around and you spend it at the damn park for what

Having been to one of these events in the past, I heartily endorse this. My best evening ever at the park.

  6. Agree with the 1st and 2nd comment. It wouldn’t be a problem if it had been on the calendar months earlier when guest make plans. I am sure the convention been on the books for the swan and dolphin for a year. But not even 2 weeks notice. Thats greed.

First and foremost WDW is a business. We all like to think it’s ours and it should be reserved for only families and kids and that’s fine. But it’s a business first. These companies that buy out evenings at the parks are paying top dollar prices which help in the long run for future projects as well as day to day operations. Besides if anyone is actually planning a WDW vacation they should be able to shuffles days or times around these events as the park hours are always updated on the website for availability.
