This is so true. I’m bummed watching what’s happening with Magic Bands, but if they ever got rid of these mugs, I don’t know what we’d do!
We always stay at CBR and the refill stations are spread out through the five areas. Nothing better than returning from a hot, long day at the parks , even at 1:00 AM, and being able to quench a very strong thirst!

So the old refillable mugs without the chip , do not work?
