I’m very glad the live action Moana failed. Frankly I didn’t get anything out of the animated sequel either except for more feminism agenda and islanders that talked and behaved like people do today. I mean the sea monsters were neat and the old man was funny but overall it felt thrown together and extremely silly. I fast forwarded through most of the songs to. I’m pretty sure there will be a third one unfortunately so I’ll probably just skip that one altogether. The first Moana was enough for me. It didn’t need a sequel and it certainly didn’t need a remake
Oh goody they’re playing the “blame anything else but ourselves” game again. For their information it wasn’t Moana 2s fault that Moana live action flopped. It was Disney’s fault for making remakes all the time and thinking making one to a movie not even old enough to drive yet was a smart move. They just want to squeeze every penny they can out of everything they own and run it dry into the ground until nobody cares anymore. Like Star Wars for example?
To me Dana is making it sound like the audience has Moana fatigue since the remake came out too soon after the sequel. On the contrary I have a strong feeling that if Moana 3 had been put in the place of the live action, people would’ve flocked to see it. It’s another issue called Live(Computer)Action Remake Fatigue. There is no point in remaking an already
100% computer animated movie into a 80% computer animated movie with real people in suits. I mean hey I will probably watch the Moana remake someday, I thought the soundtrack was great. But I won’t be watching it anytime soon. At least not until I find a DVD for less than ten bucks somewhere because that’s all its worth to pay just to laugh at the Rock in his funny little Maui suit and granny wig!
BTW, I heard all these layoffs were due to stocks plummeting and that Disney plus doesn’t have enough customers so they have to raise prices for the customers they already have and more and more people are dropping streaming due to constant rising costs. (Disney’s already so desperate they’re planning on trying to reach kids to sign up for disney plus through social media!) Layoffs also probably keep happening because less people are interested in Disney’s slop!

How about just stop with the %$@& remakes? And pretty sure rock in a maui costume didn’t help at all??
