The new James Bond era under Amazon MGM Studios will feature at least three new 007 actors.

Amazon MGM’s untitled film reboot, which is being directed by Denis Villeneuve (the Dune films), written by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders), and produced by Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: Brand New Day) and David Heyman (the Harry Potter films), is officially underway.

Three New James Bond Actors

While the studio has yet to announce who will play Bond, we know that at least one actor will be taking over from Daniel Craig following his five-film tenure, which included Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021).

Two, however, have already been revealed.

Earlier this year, Dexter: Original Sin star Patrick Gibson brought Bond back to life in gaming with IO Interactive’s third-person action-adventure title 007 First Light.

Following the game’s launch, Big Finish Productions announced that Isaac Rouse (The Crown Season 6) had been cast as the voice of a teenage Bond in Young Bond: SilverFin, an upcoming audio drama adaptation of Charlie Higson’s novel SilverFin (2005).

But could there be even more Bond actors on the horizon in addition to whoever will be taking up the mantle in the new film reboot?

There are rumors that Universal United Kingdom Resort is set to feature a James Bond show similar to Universal Studios Florida’s The Bourne Stuntactular, which would of course involve casting a new actor to portray 007 in front of a live audience.

Interestingly, the new film itself could feature more than one actor as Bond if it chooses to span multiple periods throughout the character’s life in a never-before-seen, biopic-style origin story.
