Isn’t this how the yearly membership worked?

My family have been Carowinds Gold Pass holders for 10 years. Cedar Fair always offered this option- monthly payments stretched out over 10 months. The only difference with this is you might get charged interest, they make mandatory yearly rollover for membership, and they are taking away meal plans to be seasonal. Now you have to choose 20 meals for the season at one rate and then another, more expensive plan for more meals. Cedar Fair cared about their food offerings. Our experience with Six Flags is they couldnt care less. We may not renew given all of this nickel and diming and reducing the quality of what they offer.

This is incorrect info. Flex Pay uses a lender for an installment loan. Six Flags isnt getting your information.
