😲 Wow!! That’s drastic.
More school districts in the US should be doing the same. I worked in a school district for 13+ yrs & the amount of time some students are out of school is ridiculous. Some parents just don’t want to get up & get the kids to school on time or at all. Instead of just affecting grades, there should be fines. The schools loose money when that student is absent, have the parents make it up @ over $100 a day.
What a stupid take. How about fixing the school system. Stop districts from manipulating test scores to get more funding. Or charge you personally the difference.
Sorry if the parents want to be take their children kids to Disney they can wait until the have a break in B school or a holiday break. Kids need to go to school and don’t need to miss out.
Keep punishing parents and watch the already too low birth rate drop even faster. It’s already too expensive. Time to subsidize parenting. Or face a dying civilization.

Or spread those funds more equally among the students and not on BS admin pet projects.
