This is great for being able to get on & experience the ride for wheelchair bound people. Proving Disney has the ability to accommodate the disabled. But sadly it doesn’t address the issue of those like myself that can’t stand in hour long lines.
I am legally disabled, travel almost 100%of the time, solo. I do have a service dog, due to my medical issue. I don’t mind return times (like Fast Pass), if this was made the policy. The issue is that it is left up to each CM at the attraction. I wouldn’t mind registering for this, as long as it was the policy of the entire park – every park.

At my last visit to Disney World, I was asked if I could walk (used a scooter to get around) and when I answered that I could not, I was told after being in line with everyone else, that I could not ride the attraction. Pirates of the Caribbean, Rise of the Resistance and Tower of Terror are the three attractions I could not enjoy even though Pirates is my favorite. Jungle Cruise permitted me to transfer to a wheelchair and ride in/on the boat on a platform the same height as the entrance and I thoroughly enjoyed that. The new patent if used for other rides would be a welcome addition.

I think that this would be a great idea. I hope that Disney does start building attractions/rides that are more accessible to people that can’t walk/stand for a long time.

I used to utilize the DAS program on each trip. Once they made the change I was stuck. I have a Neuro muscular problem that makes standing for long periods of time very painful and difficult and sometimes impossible. I can walk and I don’t like to use any type of wheelchair or scooter unless the walking surface is uneven or at an incline, then I have no choice. Walking through the line for big thunder mountain is about impossible for me. Disney needs to understand that it’s not a one size fits all situation and that our dollars are just as valuable as a non disabled persons, but if they make it so the parks are just not possible without a DAS type of program then they lose not just my business but that of all my extended family as well all travel together. People will always find a way to cheat, it’s just the way it is, but don’t punish everyone else.

There are many other reasons people can’t stand in long lines. Someone with bathroom issues. Just telling them to leave the line is nuts. Have they ever tried that. It just doesn’t work. Also getting back in is insane.

I have been a Passholder for a few years now. I bought a pass for my son, who is disabled (brain injury), also blind in one eye and legally blind in the other. I had surgery early in 2026 and could not travel. We usually go for at least 2 nights once a month. I made a reservation to visit in Sept and went to get his DAS Pass, and after over two years, they denied his pass! Suddenly, she thinks he is capable of waiting in the regular line! If that had been true, he would not have had one. I go with friends, and when we go, we stand in the regular line because we can. He has issues with children crying. He becomes upset and scared that something is wrong around him and he can’t do anything about it. It is extremely hard to get him under control, and I have had to take him out of the line in the past. Thats when I got the DAS Pass. With noise and being blind, when that happens, things go off the rails, so to speak! He is blind and walks with a cane. I have glow-in-the-dark tape on it so people will see it when it’s dark inside. Small children think it is a toy, try to grab it, and have tried to take it. I can’t be in a video chat with him there and explain all this to them, as he thinks he is fine! When someone talks about things like that, he becomes upset. I have written several emails with no return of his DAS Pass. I have a week paid for in October. If it isn’t given back to him I will no longer go I will not renew either of our Annual passes, and there will be no more photo pass either. I have never been to Universal before. I am thinking if things have to stay without the pass Universal will get my business!
