This is terribly sad. Walt would not be pleased, but it seems that villains and technology and negativity is the way forward in the USA. Never mind celebrating the history or frontiers. Smh

At least at Disney. So much for the nod to walt and roys home state Missouri – and for cars?!?!? old IP.

While missing what has been I for one am looking forward to the new expansions. Honestly did not spend lots of time in that area of the park and really stoked about villan land since I am a die hard fan of Malificent.
My kids grew up on Cars as well and who can resist Mater!?!

Disney Parks have undergone various iterations for decades and it’s always the same…

There are always passionate haters and passionate lovers. People who complain forget that at one time each park was very different. It wouldn’t have been the park you love today without a metamorphosis. So take a deep breath, embrace the good memories and look forward to new ones.

This is different. If you knew anything of Disney History you would realize that Walt and Roy were from Missouri and the rivers of America etc was a nod to their home state. The current crop (or crap) of imagineers have no concept of the Disney Tradition. There is plenty of land they could have added an addition. Their intent was to destroy the memory of Walt and Roy Disney

Anaheim had a similar thing a few years ago. We lost Big Thunder Ranch and were given Star Wars Land instead. Move forward a few years and they replaced a food menu at one restaurant with BBQ that was popular at BTR. Not the same experience, but an attempt to step back on what they took away. Some of us rarely visit the SW area. Others love it and rope drop to it every time. I expect that the same will happen to Piston Peak and Villains Land once they open.

Giant rip off been there 12 times never going back! Too many woke changes and if you want to go into debt for a vacation you need your head examined! They are robbing you!
