This week, Walt Disney World Resort filed a construction permit for an empty retail storefront at the Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district. The document appears connected to the replacement of Shore, one of the first tenants to open in the Town Center neighborhood of Disney Springs when it opened in 2016, roughly a year after Disney renamed the outdoor lifestyle complex formerly known as Downtown Disney.
Construction Permit for Disney Springs

On September 28, Walt Disney World Resort filed a Notice of Commencement for the “installation of signage” at 1530 E. Buena Vista Dr. #1H, a storefront in the Town Center neighborhood at Disney Springs. The document designates Shark Signs as the third-party vendor responsible for the installation work.
This storefront was formerly home to Shore, which was one of the first third-party vendors to open in the Town Center neighborhood at Disney Springs when it debuted in 2016. The resort-style clothing store permanently closed in May after a clearance sale, though it still has one location in Longboat Key, Florida, and an online shop.

Not long after Shore closed, a construction permit hinted at a possible replacement for Shore: Vuori, an athletic clothing brand. In June, Disney Springs confirmed on its official Instagram account that Vuori was “coming soon” to the former Shore space.
Vuori Opening Progress

Things were mostly quiet over the summer, aside from advertisements in the former Shore space promoting the future Vuori store. A few weeks ago, though, the awnings above the storefront were repainted, presumably to prepare for the arrival of the signage referenced in the permit filed on Monday. WDW News Today shared this photo of the blocked-off storefront and the newly-painted awnings on Facebook:
Walt Disney World Resort has not confirmed an official reopening date for Vuori at Disney Springs.
