Not one of those cancelled remakes will be missed. I will skip the ones that are still unfortunately coming out. NO. MORE. REMAKES.

The tangled remake should’ve remained canceled after the Brown Snow White disaster and definitely after the Moana remake failure but it’s like Disney truly enjoys losing money while we save it for better content. I think Disney is the only one who wants these remakes because they know they’re out of ideas to do anything new. But let’s face it, even their original movies suck nowadays

Good bye and good riddance to all cancelled remakes. Heck I didn’t even watch the how to train your dragon remake because the casting choices were terrible including toothless. I stopped watched Disney’s remakes years ago. They screwed them all with their “modern audience” standards and sloppy dialogue and humor

I agree. But like all Hollywood they want to do their own version, the heck with the source material because they want to please the only the leftists with forced diversity, empowered females and wokeness. This new Narnia movie coming out is going to fail very hard for those reasons.
I had no idea Disney toyed with the idea of a second remade Aladdin. I skipped the first one, I didn’t approve of a black genie an empowered Jasmine or her ‘speechless’ girlboss song.
I’ll be skipping the second Lilo and Stitch movie to. I don’t approve of Disney’s approval of families breaking apart so that an empowered woman can go educate herself out of state to be a career girl while her last living family member lives off friends and the government.
And boy am I glad they cancelled the aristocats. Dutchess would’ve been an empowered cat and ended up saving the day instead

Good I’m glad they were cancelled. Pretty sure they wouldn’t have been any good anyway. However I’ll truly believe it when I see it, or in this case don’t see it because Disney once cancelled the tangled remake and went ahead with it anyway

Tangled won’t do good I’m sure. Moana remake crashed and burned and kids said it lacked color and too boring and too soon for a remake and tangled isn’t much older than Moana so this won’t do either under the same circumstances

Oops posted my reply to you in the wrong place. The original Tangled is only sixteen years old definitely not to be considered a timeless classic deserving a remake To me a classic movie would be twenty five or more years old. Tangled really wasn’t that great to need to have one anyway. Disney is just out of ideas

I’ve seen sunsets and sunrises with more color than Disney’s remakes. However, color isn’t my main peeve about them. Not everything looks like it’s painted in crayola markers. It’s the poor casting choices like miss no peace for snow white and fouled up storylines like they had nani ditch lilo. Disney burned me too many times so I simply don’t want anymore unless they’re done right

The only remake I think I saw, I thought was pretty good. That was The Jungle Book live action from Jon Favreau from 2016. I love the animated movie, but the live action was surprisingly good. Just my opinion.

The visuals and CGI animal action was good. The boy actor was terrible as far as having whiny voice and especially bad singing was concerned. The Bare Necessities song was trash. I Wanna Be Like You was also dulled down and making King Louie a prehistoric giant was unnecessary. These remakes aren’t nostalgic at all. The brightness and cheerfulness of them is completely lacking even in the songs

The original Tangled came out in 2010 so sixteen years old. No it’s not old enough to be classified as a classic unlike the cartoon movies and have to a have a remake. Didn’t have to have one at all. Tell us you’re out of ideas Disney without telling us you’re out of ideas

The songs from JB live action were a major disappointment. Just dismal and lacking choruses like Be Prepared from LK live action. And I agree about the kid not being able to sing. It’s almost like he wasn’t even trying to sing it right. And kaas trust in me song was pretty much erased altogether. Adding it to the credits instead of the scene didn’t count. Disney can do better they just don’t want to try!

Disney’s dull remakes have saved me a lot of money on new movies over the years. And every new movie they’re planning to make over the next couple of years is a pass as well. However, Clay might be good. I’ll won’t hold my breath though and wait for reviews

Pretty sure no one shed tears over the cancelled remakes and sequels except Disney lol. They haven’t made one decent movie in over decade. So sad the magic is gone.

    1. Ambience

My heart didn’t break over those announcements not one little crack. More classic cartoons were spared!

  8. Ambience

When a remake is cancelled it’s cartoon counterpart sighs a big heavy sigh of relief. More classics were spared the shame of seeing them be ‘updated for the modern audience’

  9. Adam12

Huh. Didn’t know a sequel to the aladdn la was considered. Wouldn’t have mattered I would not have watched it anyway. The first one didn’t appeal to me at all. Stop ruining everything you touch deisney
