Here’s the thing. WDW could have kept the old system saved the expense of building the new system. If they would have raised the price of every ticket $20 they would have made more money with everyone paying the increase instead of only a percentage of people buying the Lightening Lane. And saved a lot of embarrassment and bad reviews. People accept price increases but they hate being nickel and dimed. That is exactly what this turned into.

When tbey bring back the FREE Fast Pass I’ll go to the park again, but I will not stand over an hour for ANY ride!!!

If they eliminated these systems entirely, the lines would be less than half as long.
