I want Starfighters to do well…but I don’t want it do well. I want to do well because it’s great having a strong male leads again and because Gosling has yet to give us the middle finger with politics.

Exactly. Even if Starfighters is good that doesn’t mean their other upcoming projects will be. Maybe I’m expecting too much out of Starfighters (I was already disappointed in learning it wasn’t Ryan’s character that was force sensitive) but I just really want a SW movie quite similar to the original trilogy featuring new yet wonderfully written male characters. Disney has fallen way too far from the original movies storylines with all these crummy spin-offs, girlboss junk and bringing back dead villains. Here’s hoping Starfighters delivers everything OG Star Wars fans want!
Star Wars is so dead at this point I don’t think even Ryan Gosling can save it now. Everything is going to depend on the trailers. If there’s not enough battle drama or even a mention of lightsabers or the boy using the Force that’s not going to draw people in. I’ve already seen people say if Rey is in Starfighters they are skipping it. Her character has become major box office p0is0n it seems
