Hotel Burglary at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Shortly after 12:00 p.m. on August 25, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a hotel burglary at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the publicly available information about the 911 call on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the post pinpointed a specific location within Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, but it’s unclear whether that is where the hotel burglary occurred. Law enforcement responses at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs are often logged at the general coordinates for each address rather than the exact location where the emergency call originated.

Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has commented publicly on the hotel burglary at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. More information may become available from police reports or criminal charges, if they are filed.
What Central Florida Disney Park Guests Need to Know
The My Disney Experience app doesn’t report any disruptions to the Walt Disney World Resort experience following the reported hotel burglary at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort on Tuesday.
