It is indeed a sad day for Dollywood and the whole world.
When Walt Disney died, there was no announcement, people continued to have fun, enjoying themselves in Disneyland. As the news began to spread, the shock and sadness showed. There was no social media st the tine, so there was only n the news.
Dolly’s love and example will continue as she would have wanted.
We love Dolly and Dollywood. I first went there back in the very early 1960’s when it was the Rebel Railroad. We want to go back to enjoy the scenery, and family time and to honor Dolly. What a magnificent lady. God bless Dolly Parton. Dollywood makes it a point to welcome everyone without resorting to the culture war advocacy that Disney embraced. Dollywood reflects Dolly; a warm, non-judgmental welcome to all.

The Disney parks didn’t close after Walt died nor did Hershey Land after Milton Hershey died, so why would her’s be any different?

I have yet to go to Dollywood and I need to go now more than ever. I love how she is called “Dreamer in Chief” RIP sweet woman!!!!!!!
