Credit: bigbirdz, FlickrOn Wednesday, Disneyland Resort unveiled the lineup of festive offerings for the 2026 Christmas season, which takes over the Southern California Disney parks from November 13, 2026, to January 6, 2027. As part of that announcement, Disney announced that Mickey and Minnie Mouse would debut new holiday-themed looks this year.
A Festive New Look For Mickey and Minnie Mouse
As part of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year at the Happiest Place on Earth, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will greet guests in the Town Square at Disneyland Park in festive new outfits. Disneyland Resort shared this concept art for the characters’ reimagined Christmas attire:
Mickey and Minnie Mouse won’t be the only classic characters in new festive looks. Disneyland Resort wrote that the iconic couple’s “friends” would also debut updated holiday outfits. Although the Southern California Disney park didn’t specify which characters would show up alongside Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the pair’s “friends” often refers to Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and, sometimes, other characters like Chip ‘n’ Dale and Clarabelle Cow.
Disneyland Resort has yet to share photos of the actual character costumes. However, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends are expected to debut these festive new looks when the holiday season at the Southern California Disney parks begins on November 13, 2026.
Christmas 2026 at Disneyland Resort
Beyond the new outfits for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, even more themed entertainment, ride overlays, festive food and beverage items, holiday merchandise, stunning decorations, and other offerings are headed to Disneyland Resort for the 2026 holiday season. Returning fan-favorite entertainment includes the “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle, and more.
One notable character change for 2026: Santa Claus will meet guests at a new location in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park. He formerly met guests at the Fantasyland Theatre, but that location is now home to the Bluey’s Best Day ever show.
